Data Sheet Panel
PIR-ALU 30/35 - ref.: 5.135.30 |
FT30.35-002-i |
|
General Characteristics Polyisocyanurate
(PIR) rigid foam panel, coated with centesimal aluminium foil on both sides,
suitable for the construction of ducts systems for the air distribution,
ventilation, heating and air-conditioning systems (HVAC). |
||
|
Dimensions Standard
production thickness is 30 mm, within
a tolerance range of +1,5 , -1 mm (tested according to EN 823
standard) Standard
panel length is 3.000 mm within a tolerance range of +/- 7mm (tested
according to EN 822 standard) Standard
panel width is 1.200 mm within a tolerance range of +/-2 mm (tested according
to EN 822 standard) Squareness
of panel is precise to within a tolerance range +/- 2mm (tested according to EN 824 standard) On request
it is possible to supply panels of other lengths and widths whilst
maintaining the same tolerance as described above. |
||
CHEMICAL
AND PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The
polyisocyanurate (PIR) rigid foam is made from the polyaddition reaction
between first quality polyols and polyisocyanates. The
chemical reaction involves the polymerization of the raw materials, with the
transition from liquid to solid state. The polymer obtained is
physiologically and chemically inert, insoluble and unable to be metabolized.
The
nominal density of the panel PIR-ALU is 35 kg/m3 with a minimum value of
33 kg/m3. The
coating of the panel consist of a 60 µm embossed aluminium foil with a
protective lacquer on both sides. Color:
Blue. Blowing agent: the blowing agent is CFC and HCFC-free. The panel is a fiber-free product. |
||
MECHANICAL
CHARACTERISTICS
The
compressive strength is 3,0 kg/cm2 +/-0,5 (tested according to EN
826 standard). |
||
THERMAL
CONDUCTIVITY
Thanks to
the high number of closed cells (exceeding 95%) the panel has an initial
thermal conductivity of 0,025 W/m·K (7d, 10ºC), according to EN 12667 standard. |
||
FIRE
REACTION
The panel
meets class M1 according to UNE 23727 Spanish national standard. |
||
|
SMOKE
OPACITY The
panel was tested in Spain and meets class VOF4=4.1 (accordance with
regulation NF-X10.702). |
||
|
RIGIDITY The
panel has an elastic rigidity of 190.000 N.mm2. The
panel can be classified as Class 3 according to prCEN/TC 156/WG3N207/4 |
||
|
WATER
ABSORTION The panel
after 28 days of total immersion in water does not increase its weight by
more than 1,5% according to EN 12087. |
||
|
WATER
PERMEABILITY Due to the
thickness of the aluminium foil (>50 µm) the product can be considered as
a vapor barrier. |
||
UTILIZATION
TEMPERATURE
The panel
can be used constantly in a temperature range from –40º to +80ºC
without any substantial differences in the thermo-ventilating insulating
specifications. The lineal
thermal expansion coefficient has a value of 40x10-6 mm/mm·K. |
||
PACKING
The
product is delivered in packs of 10 panels. The pack is protected with cardboard
an is about 0,3 m height and has a equivalent total panel surface of 36 m2
(considering a standard dimensions of 3000 x 1200 mm). |
